Jim DeFelice Besides working with Dale Brown on the best-selling Dale Brown’s Dreamland series, Jim DeFelice is the solo author of several techno-thrillers, including “Cyclops One,” to be published in October 2003. While primarily known as a fiction writer, DeFelice has ghost-written or assisted on non-fiction works involving a number of military and national security topics, including Special Forces and the First Gulf War. “Collaborating with Dale is a first-class creative experience,” says DeFelice. “He really pushes the envelope and I have to sprint to even try to keep up. It’s amazing how inspiring it can be to work with a master like Dale. I’ve been a fan since Flight of the Old Dog.” DeFelice, who has written books on sky diving and rock and mountain climbing, claims to prefer quieter though challenging hobbies like working on old houses. He and his wife live in a home originally built in the 19th century in upstate New York which they have done considerable work on.
