Another Winter Storm

I know I said I wasn't always going to write about the winter weather in Tahoe in this Blog...but that was before we got another 18 inches of snow over the past 16 hours! Interstate-80 over the Sierra is closed, as is Mount Rose Highway to Reno.

I must admit that the weather-guessers have been spot on this season so far. Last year it seemed they were always wrong--they'd call a winter storm warning but we'd get nothing. This year, they said 12-24 inches at lake level in this latest storm, and they were right.

It's Super Bowl Sunday, and although I don't normally watch the Super Bowl I did plan on mostly kicking back. But it looks like I'll be shoveling snow off the back deck and hot tub this afternoon. Better get to it if I hope to finish by kickoff!
