I promised my readers and myself I'd Blog every week, so here we go:

The "economic stimulus package"--garbage. It's the mother of all pork-barrel spending.

If I was President: tax cuts across the board, spend on rebuilding the military instead of water parks in Florida and STD education. For toxic mortgages, why doesn't the government offer to refinance struggling mortgages at 40 or 50-year fixed rates and give people a chance to weather the recession?

The "Hannity" show on Fox News Channel has got to go. What happened to "Fair And Balanced"? I rarely agreed with Alan Colmes but he was a good part of the debate.

I recently switched to a Macintosh. I like it, but what I probably should have done was just upgrade my PC hardware and stop loading my system up with so many useless things. My 4-year old Gateway couldn't handle Vista, but I blamed computer problems on Vista. I run Vista Basic on the Mac (NV online business filings requires IE, and Stamps.com doesn't have a Mac version yet) and it runs fine.

I'm reading George Friedman's new book "The Next 100 Years" and it's excellent. A little scary, but it gets the creative juices going. I'm also reading Jim DeFelice's new "Dreamland: Whiplash" and it's great too. A fine new direction for the guys we created together.

I disagree with PETA, but I love their new sexy anti-meat ads.

"Two And A Half Men" has become our unofficial sex education program for my son. Whenever we laugh at something Hunter wants to know what we're laughing at, so we have to explain it to him.

I'm looking forward to the Air Force Association Air Warfare Conference in Orlando. It's the proverbial "drinking from a firehose" bombardment of information, but it's all good, and I get to pick up lots of cool freebies. I'm running low on pens, flashlights, and Post-It Notes.

Still no snow in Tahoe. Skiing conditions suck. Nothing forecast for the next week except temps in the mid-40s.

It's good to get e-mails and Facebook posts from all my classmates and neighbors from Grand Island.
