A bunch of Ballistic Missile Defense-related items recently that proves how important ballistic missile defense (BMD) is:

Iran launched a small satellite into orbit;

North Korea is getting ready to test-launch a new ballistic missile that might have the range to reach Alaska or even the U.S. West Coast;

The Obama administration is considering canceling the BMD sites planned for Poland and the Czech Republic in exchange for Russia agreeing to allow the U.S. to ship supplies to Afghanistan through former Soviet republics (instead of through Pakistan).

So just about the time we would have had a BMD system in place in Europe, Iran and North Korea might have a rocket in service capable of hitting the U.S. Great timing!

The Heritage Foundation documentary (www.33minutes.com) may seem like conservative propaganda and fear-mongering, but the facts are real. We seem willing to trade away game-changing technology in the hopes of placating Russia, Iran, and North Korea. Why?
